Pads and soundscapes are designed to be subtle accompaniments. They should be cued according to the key of the arrangement, providing a droning pad centered around the root note with additional harmonic textures within the major scale. Pads can accompany arrangements in both minor and major scales, however, if the arrangement is in a minor scale, cue the relative major key (e.g., cue "C" to accompany an arrangement in A minor). Avoid changing the pad's key to match chord changes within an arrangement, unless there is a key change within the song. To ensure the best results, mix AeroPads appropriately within your overall mix. Too loud, they may compete with melodies; too quiet, they may be less effective. When mixed just right, they will sound awesome.
